Who we are and what this policy covers
Last updated: October 9, 2026

QBits Networks ("we", "us") is an OT and ICS cybersecurity consultancy based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, by email and by phone, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We handle personal information in line with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect and how we use it
Information you give us: when you use our contact form, email us or call us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company, site location and the details of your request. Calls to our business line may be answered by an automated phone assistant that records a short message and a transcript so we can call you back.

Information collected automatically: this website is hosted on Wix, which uses cookies and similar technologies to run the site, keep it secure and measure basic traffic.

We use this information to answer your request, set up a scoping call, prepare a quote, deliver the services you engage us for, and keep the business records the law requires. We do not sell personal information, and we do not send marketing emails without your consent.

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host, email, phone and accounting providers, and only as needed for those services. Some of these providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.
Your rights, how long we keep it and how to reach us
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete it or make it anonymous. We protect it with reasonable safeguards, including access controls, encryption where available and access on a need-to-know basis.

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to its use, subject to legal limits. Email us at info@qbitsnetworks.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Information we see while working on a client's systems, such as network data and device configurations, is covered by the confidentiality terms of that engagement, not by this website policy.
